Fear of fire faced by facing it

Incinerators are in the news.3AW

They have their place but because the children in charge never face their fears everyone goes into a panic. I would never encourage their return to backyards now that plastic burning can kill us so easily.instead of trying to  bury the problem we just need to insist plastics be burnt at very high temperatures. That way at places like that  we can run the burners hard at evening and morning to make up shortfalls. And shut em down immediately when the air monitors within metres of the building detect even a trace of oxidant or radical.

Housing crisis costs

As stated in my December post ,rural Australians should be allowed more development room because our severe poor drainage limits mean anyone who uses a lot of water will annoy their neighbours with wastewater inwet periods. The offering of more temp  houses to rural producers is stopped by age old planning rules that must be changed.our ageing farmers need help and the chance to stay as long as they can on the land they have loved.
